Welcome to my "essential element" - short series - new work inspired by running in our beautiful winter landscape recently. When being outside really is essential - to me and maybe you too? 

Think snow. Think crisp and cold. Think brightness and freshness. Think glad to be alive. And you’ve got it.

You can prop them / hang them anyway you want as I’ve not put wire on the back to boss you about.

Try seeing one “upside down” and it is still a winter landscape. I didn’t intend this, I discovered it as I was doing them! The dark bit we call the sky could just as well be the dark bit we call the land when we turn it the other way.
And this is what I love adore about expanses of snow in the landscape- it inverts everything. What was dark becomes light.
