Little films of past cycling tours....enjoy the photos I took, the drawings I did at the end of each day and the music I was singing in my head as I trundled along.
August 2015. Five Ferries. A Scottish adventure around the beautiful Argyll coast, using pedal power and ferries for the bits between the islands and mainland. Five friends, lots of sunshine and plenty of smiles. Music by Ray La Montagne.
May 2014. Scottish Borders. Three days, 150 miles, 2 women, hardly any cars seen and only two sets of traffic lights passed through. Music: Empty by Ray LaMontagne.
July 2013. Sustrans Celtic Trail West. Four days of cycling the sea. What's not to like about that? 160 miles, 35c on the hottest day. Lots of swimming and some (!) fish and chips. The music? Skinny Love by Bon Iver
April 2013. Mallorca for 8 days of sunny cycling with friend Jan Davenport. Heaven on a bike! 270 miles. 5300m of ascent. Drawing everyday. This time is was the beautiful voice and lyrics of JP Cooper that got me up those mountains and kept my pedals turning with ease and power.
September 2012 Sustrans Lon Cambria three day bike tour from Shrewsbury to Aberystwyth - 113 miles, 4 women, lots and lots of hills....and this time no punctures. And the song? Lianne La Havas, Au Cinema.
Jubilee weekend June 2012 I and six other women cycled Sustrans The Way Of The Roses....a Coast to Coast route from Morecambe to Bridlington. Three punctures. 170 miles (plus a few extra.....cos we went just a teeeeeenie bit wrong!) Goodness how many cake stops. Seven smiling women....hope you enjoy the little film.....The song? Home Again, Michael Kiwanuka. It's the one I sang over and over as I worked my way up the LONG hills. It worked a treat!
